The journey to home ownership should be an exciting time - by understanding the 4 C’s of lending, the process can be a trouble-free and positive experience. 1. Credit – Know and understand your credit score. 2. Cash – Learn the down payment requirements for Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Renovation loans, and when & why you might use these programs. 3. Collateral –What makes a home financeable? 4. Capacity – How much can you afford? Within these topics we will go over required loan documentation, closing costs, mortgage insurance options, and do’s and don’ts as you prepare for successful home ownership.
