North Mountain WILDS Three-Day Camp Join us this summer as we explore the wild places of North Mountain Park. We will spend each day outside playing games, learning ancient survival skills, camouflaging with our surroundings and sharing adventures. Get to know the trees, plants and animals that live along Bear Creek. Tune into nature and sharpen all of your senses to discover wildlife, edible plants and natural tools. WILDS (Wilderness Immersion, Learning, Discovering, and Surviving) summer camps take place entirely outdoors. Bring a backpack with a snack & lunch, water bottle, sunscreen & hat, and optional water shoes. Sign up early! Pre-registraton for this program required by July 7. Botanical Drawing Explore the unique structure of plants, stems, leaves and flowers. Begin with loose sketches followed by detailed fine line drawing with shading. If time allows and there is interest we could delve into color application. This class can function as a continuation of the Botanical Drawing class offered earlier in the summer for anyone interested in further studio experience. Art supplies provided. If you have favorite drawing pencils, feel free to bring them. Also bring any plant specimens that inspire you. Many plant specimens will also be provided.
